• 10 Things Every Woman Should Own

“Oh, you work in fashion? It must be so hard deciding what to wear everyday”. One of the most common phases I hear due to being a stylist; but this really isn’t the case, I am a 10-minute blitz and out the door kind-a-girl, and the reason being, I rely on key wardrobe essentials that I literally wear over and over.

Whilst I love a trend, don’t get me wrong, more often then not the monthly pay just doesn’t stretch far enough to invest in every single one, I don’t think the size of my wardrobe would cope either! So to make getting dressed a total breeze no matter what the occasion, ensure you have every one of these in your wardrobe and be the uber cool, stylish babe you always knew you could be…

    Shop my 10 things below.....

    1. The LBD - That's Not So Little Anymore

Of course, we've all heard it before, every girls needs a little black dress. Well, it's actually true. They are the fail safe back up for any party or event, it's just that us fash-gals like them a little longer and looser. Silk camis, off-the-shoulder ruffles and structured shoulders are the way forward. You can even team with a roll neck underneath in the winter to ensure you really get the most out of this dress.

    Available at Topshop | £29

    2. A Great White Shirt

A crisp white cotton shirt that's slightly oversized and with a great cuff can be the start to every great outfit. Wear 'half tucked' into tailored trousers for a clean work look or unbutton a little with jeans and a heel for the weekend. Don't forget you can even take it on holiday and it'll double up as a bikini cover-up.

Available at Rejina Pyo at Net-a-Porter | £295

    3. A Checked Blazer

This is one jacket you quite literally could wear with everything. It'll totally smarten up your jeans and tee on the weekend and will complete a mini dress on the weekend. As it gets colder into the winter, our top styling tip is to do the "double jacket", and wear your blazer under your usual coat.

Available at Isabel Marant at Matchesfashion.com £545

    4. A Flat Leather Chelsea Boot

And not just any kind. They have to be black leather (not suede), super minimal and have a wide opening at the ankle. Ideal with jeans or to give a little edge to summer dresses - these will come out year in, year out. They're also great for festivals as they scrub up really well afterwards.
